Each nugget has a lifetime of 3, 7, 15, or 31 days. When the lifetime has expired your gold nugget will disappear and you will get an IM reminding you that it has expired. Since each hunter can only find a given nugget once, buying new gold nuggets will bring them back to your location. Longer lifetimes allow for less maintenance, but you will not have the advantage of repeat visits from gold hunters.
